Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Our commitment
Poocho AI aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act, Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act, and most enterprise procurement requirements. We treat accessibility defects the same as functional defects in our product roadmap.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (
nav, main, footer) and heading hierarchy on every page. - Skip-to-content link and visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Color-contrast ratios meet WCAG AA for body text and UI components.
- All meaningful images carry
alttext; decorative images are markedaria-hidden. - Keyboard navigation for every interactive control; no keyboard traps.
- Screen-reader announcements for live content (AI reasoning stream uses
aria-live="polite"). - Forms use associated labels, programmatic error messaging, and
aria-invalidwhere relevant. - Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query — animations and autoplay content are disabled when requested. - Captions and transcripts for customer-facing demo videos (rolling).
- Responsive layouts tested at 320–1920 px; text scales to 200% without loss of content.
Assistive technology tested
Regular manual and automated testing across:
- VoiceOver on macOS / iOS
- NVDA on Windows
- TalkBack on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Axe DevTools and Lighthouse accessibility audits on every pull request
Known limitations
We are transparent about the areas where we are still improving:
- Right-to-left (RTL) Urdu and Arabic versions of the marketing site are in development. The dashboard product already supports RTL end-to-end.
- Older demo videos may lack full captioning — these are being retrofitted.
- Some third-party embeds (e.g. form widgets) inherit accessibility behavior from their vendors; we select vendors that publish current VPATs.
VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template)
A VPAT 2.4 document covering the Poocho AI product (dashboard, agent console, admin settings) is available for enterprise procurement. Request a copy at hello@poochoai.com.
